My childhood was spent perusing the dusty aisles of thrift, consignment, and antique stores. As I grew older, this passion for finding something once-loved and cared for intensified. This project started when I found my first set in between the pages of a tattered book in a thrift store. These were images, moments, that someone had once found profound enough to capture. They happened to be the September 11th memorial a few years after the tragedy that changed America forever.

The rest are found in basements during clean outs, old film canisters that were in donated dressers, and everywhere in between.

From hilarious snaps to gruesome documentation to long-forgotten photos of loved ones, this gallery represents some of my favorites found over the years of collecting others' discarded memories.
